Engel & Völkers Atlanta and Above Atlanta REALTORS have united to form a luxury real estate company focused on condos, townhomes and single-family homes in Atlanta’s top intown neighborhoods. Together, they boast a portfolio of listings valued at over a half a billion dollars and a technology-focused, next-gen platform to provide the highest level of service for developers, sellers and home buyers.
Engel & Völkers Atlanta, led by luxury real estate specialist and developer services pioneer Christa Huffstickler, launched in 2017 and uses a network of global, national and local relationships to provide premier real estate services. Landmark projects include The Atlantic in Atlantic Station, 1065 Midtown at the Loews Atlanta Hotel and the recently announced 40 West 12th condo tower, as well as luxury single-family and townhome listings throughout Atlanta’s urban core.
Above Atlanta is a renowned high-rise-focused real estate agency with a robust digital platform tailored to educate today’s tech-focused buyers about the bustling Atlanta market and efficiently connect them with their dream home. Led by Jeffrey Taylor Johnson, who founded the firm in 2010, Above Atlanta has become a one-stop shop for condo buyers and sellers throughout the city. Above Atlanta is the top selling agency for resales in many of Atlanta’s most desired high rise developments including Sovereign and 1010 Midtown, and refers more renters to new high rise apartment buildings than any other real estate company. Recent transactions include the highest condo sale in 2018, a $3.8 million home at The Residences at Mandarin Oriental in which Above Atlanta represented the buyer.
“The union of Engel & Völkers Atlanta and Above Atlanta represents an incredible opportunity for two teams who are reinventing the local residential real estate industry and bringing it into the future,” said Huffstickler. “Our global platform through Engel & Völkers, as well as our developer connections, combined with Above Atlanta’s digital prowess and local market integration will create a true real estate powerhouse equipped to serve a diverse, tech-savvy set of sellers, buyers, builders and more.”
The two firms will open a co-branded flagship location bridging the gap between Midtown and Buckhead at 25th Street and Peachtree Street this summer. The shop will include Atlanta’s first virtual reality screening room, allowing buyers to envision and experience their new home without leaving the office.
“We’ve spent years positioning ourselves as the go-to resource for condo seekers in Atlanta, and we’re thrilled to join with Engel & Völkers Atlanta to expand our capabilities and continue to innovate in a market that shows no signs of slowing down,” said Johnson. “Our combined team will be nimble, tech-focused and highly educated on current local market conditions while being able to utilize the international platform and insight offered by the Engel & Völkers brand. It’s a perfect partnership for us and we’re excited for what the future holds as a joint brand.”
