Officials from the U.S. Small Business Administration and the mayor of East Point, Georgia have signed a Strategic Alliance Memorandum, officially launching their partnership.

The two-year alliance was created to foster small business development and growth for residents of the south-Atlanta suburb by educating them about the programs, services and resources available to them from the SBA.

“The City of East Point is excited to partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration to help start, maintain and expand small businesses in our city,” said Deana Holiday Ingraham, mayor of East Point. “Small businesses are the backbone of our community and we are committed to providing a full continuum of support to help them thrive.”

“This agreement allows us to create programs and events to bring all of the SBA’s financial, contracting and business development assistance to entrepreneurs, providing them the tools they need to start, grow and expand their businesses,” said Terri Denison, director of the SBA Georgia District Office.
