Atlanta Technical College students Toni Copeland, Michael Harris, De’Eugenia Yancy and Nikki Yancy have been named winners of OneMain Financial/Achieving the Dream Completion Scholarships. They are four of only 20 students selected nationwide to receive the scholarships.
The OneMain Financial/Achieving the Dream Completion Scholarship Program is a national effort to help low-income community college students make it to the finish line and earn a certificate or degree. “OneMain Financial is pleased to provide scholarship support for these deserving students,” says Sheldon Caplis, director of community relations for OneMain Financial. “We understand the important role played by Atlanta Technical College in the Southern region, and know these awards will help students achieve their career goals.”
OneMain Financial District Manager Tamika Brooks presented each ATC winner with $3,000 scholarships to help eliminate the financial barriers that stand in their way of completion. The four students plan to graduate in May 2016 with the following credentials: Copeland, associate’s degree, networking specialist; Harris, associate’s degree, design and media technology; De’Eugenia Yancy, associate of science, nursing; and Nikki Yancy, associate’s degree, marketing management.
