Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is nearly 40 miles and an hour drive south from the heart of Gwinnett County, but the man who runs the world’s busiest airport says its existence is key to the county’s growth.
Airport General Manager Miguel Southwell talked to Gwinnett Chamber members about Hartsfield-Jackson’s future on Tuesday during the business group’s monthly meeting. He talked about the airport as if it were a jobs-generating hub which can attract employers and through which goods can move to other locations throughout the metro area and beyond.
