Hunter Douglas Inc. has announced the continuation of its 23-year commitment to provide custom window coverings for Habitat for Humanity partner families in 2015 with a $750,000 gift-in-kind donation to support Habitat's vision to create a world in which every person has a decent place to live.

Since the partnership began in 1992, Hunter Douglas has donated close to 345,000 window coverings to Habitat partner families across North America, and Hunter Douglas employees have invested countless volunteer hours to help build Habitat homes.

"The support of faithful and generous partners like Hunter Douglas allows Habitat to serve a growing number of families worldwide," said Jonathan Reckford, CEO of Habitat for Humanity International. "We are extremely grateful to Hunter Douglas for their long-term partnership and the additional commitment they have made to help us build homes, communities and hope."

Hunter Douglas has joined forces with Habitat in other ways as well, having donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to the organization's relief efforts to aid those affected by the catastrophic earthquakes in Nepal and Haiti.

"We feel privileged to continue our partnership with Habitat for Humanity, which is now nearing a quarter of a century," said Ron Kass, Hunter Douglas President and CEO.  "Habitat's essential mission to make affordable housing a reality by helping families help themselves is a critically important one. Our contributions toward creating a warm and welcoming home for these deserving individuals is a source of great pride for our company. The home is one of the foundational anchors that builds families, communities and futures."
