AT&T Inks Tentative Agreement with CWA Covering Southeast Workers

AT&T Inc. reported Tuesday its Southeast wireline operations reached a tentative agreement with the Communications Workers of America.

The Dallas-based telecommunications company, which bases its AT&T Mobility unit in Atlanta, said in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing it reached tentative agreements with the union on two Southeast regional contracts covering AT&T Billing Southeast and Southeast Utility Operations.

The agreements will be submitted to the union’s membership for a ratification vote in coming days.

The tentative deals cover about 24,000 employees in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
