Cricket Wireless and its parent company AT&T welcomes industry veteran John Dwyer as the new leader of the Cricket premium no annual contract brand.  As Cricket President, Dwyer will oversee the company's day-to-day operations and long-term planning, strategy and execution to drive continued growth and profitability.

Dwyer joins a world-class team responsible for redefining the no annual contract wireless experience at more than 9,000 points of distribution nationally, and maximizing customer satisfaction across all consumer channels.

"John brings a wealth of experience and an unrelenting focus on customer satisfaction to everything he does, and we're excited to have him join the Cricket brand," said Glenn Lurie, President and CEO, AT&T Mobility.  "He will lead a nationwide team delivering simplicity, reliability and value to millions more customers seeking premium prepaid without compromise."

Prior to joining Cricket, Dwyer was responsible for trailblazing the customer experience for AT&T Mobile and Business Solutions, energizing retail sales operations, ensuring marketing effectiveness, and innovating customer care. John also held customer leadership roles for Cingular Wireless and Pacific Bell Mobile Services.

Dwyer replaces Jennifer Van Buskirk, who has been named President of AT&T's Northeast Region.  Van Buskirk, who transformed Cricket Wireless into a national powerhouse, is expert at managing change, energizing teams and building markets and will bring that expertise to bear for AT&T Northeast.

"Prepaid wireless was traditionally all about price and tradeoffs, but today's customers are demanding more, and Cricket is in the enviable position to deliver big," said John Dwyer. "I'm thrilled to be part of the team that redefined 'premium' prepaid service – giving customers reliable nationwide 4G LTE, simple and affordable service plans with taxes and fees included, a first-class in-store experience and, just recently, the only rewards program of its kind in prepaid.  I'm honored to lead them into the next chapter of Cricket's evolution, expansion and growth.  Together, we'll continue to transform the no annual contract wireless industry, capture even more share of the market for AT&T, and give consumers across the U.S. Something to Smile About."
