Mayor Rusty Paul to Give His Sandy Springs "State of the City" Address February 28th

Staff Report From Metro Atlanta CEO

Monday, February 27th, 2017

Sandy Springs Mayor Rusty Paul will give his highly-anticipated “State of the City” address at a luncheon sponsored by the Sandy Springs Perimeter Chamber on Tuesday, Feb. 28 from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.  The program, which will be held at the Westin Atlanta Perimeter North (7 Concourse Pky., NE, Sandy Springs, Ga. 30328) is one of the most popular lunchtime programs offered by the Chamber, and last year drew over 200 attendees, according to SSPC President Tom Mahaffey.

“Mayor Paul’s annual address is a highly anticipated opportunity for business people to hear the mayor’s goals for the upcoming year and celebrate highlights of the previous year,” said Mahaffey.  “On Feb. 28, I expect he will discuss a number of key issues including our city’s thriving economic development, transportation -- including Braves traffic plans, the progress of City Springs and the new zoning moratorium, among other topics.”

At last year’s State of the City program, Mayor Paul, who was elected in November 2013, said, “Giving the State of the City keynote address at the annual Sandy Springs Perimeter Chamber of Commerce meeting is always a highlight of my mayoralty.”

Space is limited and the event is expected to sell out.  Tickets are $40 for members and $45 for non-members, and may be purchased at http://business.sandyspringsperimeterchamber.com/events/details/chamber-luncheon-guest-speaker-mayor-rusty-paul-02-28-2017-3555
