SBA Accepting 2017 Georgia Small Business Week Champion Award Nominations

The U.S. Small Business Administration Georgia District Office is accepting nominations for its 2017 Georgia Small Business Week Champion Awards.
 
The award categories are: Entrepreneur of the Year Awards: Women in Business Champion of the Year, Minority Small Business Champion of the Year, Veteran Small Business Champion of the Year, Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Entrepreneurial Success Award, Family-Owned Business of the Year, Financial Service Champion of the Year, Home-Based Business Champion of the Year, LGBT Business Advocate of the Year, and Small Business Media Advocate of the Year.

What does the nomination include?

· Completed Award Form

· SBA Form 3300, available at SBA Background Form 3300

· A high resolution photo of the nominee

· Supporting documentation, including news clips, letters of recommendation and other evidence of the nominee's qualifications
 
Evaluation Criteria:

Financial Performance

Business Growth (e.g. growth in sales, employees, market, etc.)

Business Sustainability (e.g. # of years in business, etc.)

Innovativeness of Business and of Business Methods/Practices

Community Contributions and/or Involvement
 
All nominations must be submitted no later than 3 p.m. EST, Tuesday, March 14, 2017. SBA will no longer be using the Small Business Week online portal. All nomination packages may only be hand delivered or mailed to the SBA office. Email submissions of SBA awards forms will not be accepted as they contain personally identifiable information.
