Sen. John F. Kennedy (R – Macon) recognized the contributions of John Schuerholz for his decades of service to the Atlanta Braves organization with Senate Resolution 193 in the Senate.
 
“Mr. Schuerholz has a long and impressive resume of significant accomplishments for the Atlanta Braves and the people of Atlanta,” said Sen. Kennedy. “He is known throughout baseball as a competent and skilled negotiator, manager and leader. His leadership led the Braves to several titles, including the 1995 World Series, and we couldn’t be more excited for the future of the Braves organization.”
 
John Schuerholz joined the Atlanta Braves organization in 1990 as the team’s General Manager, where he led the team to five National League Titles and a World Series victory. Schuerholz currently serves as the Vice Chairman of the Atlanta Braves and will be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in the Class of 2017.
