The Atlanta Center for Precision Contact Lenses opened March 13 providing patients with customized solutions for their unmet ocular needs. The facility will be the only Atlanta eye care provider to fit, design and supply specialized contact lenses for local and regional patients.

Leveraging over 20 years of experience in optometry, Dr. Gavin Cohen, owner and Optometrist at Optique at West Paces, developed a facility that will bring custom solutions to patients with extreme astigmatism, eyes that require non-traditional contact shapes and patients that are unable to wear traditional contact lenses.

“Of the 30 million patients wearing contact lenses in the United States, between 50-94 percent suffer from contact-related issues and most patients can’t find relief,” said Dr. Cohen, Optometrist at Atlanta Center for Precision Contact Lenses. “The driving force behind ACPCL is to offer patients the most innovative and customized contact lenses, which are unattainable elsewhere. We plan on being leaders in the specialty contact lens market by providing solutions our patients are in desperate need of.”

Under the practice of Dr. Cohen, a member of a limited group of experienced optometrist in the country to treat these specific diseases, the facility will be the only provider to offer solutions for patients with mild-to-moderate myopia (with or without mild astigmatism), hyperopia and presbyopia through its innovative SightSleep technology. SightSleep is a specially designed, gas permeable contact lens worn at night to enhance vision for the following day, eliminating the need for corrective glasses or contact lenses.

The Atlanta Center for Precision Contact Lenses and Dr. Cohen will utilize a trusted patient referral program. By working alongside local and regional optometrists, Dr. Cohen will provide their referred patients with custom contact lenses to treat issues that go beyond what their facility can provide.

“We hope to work alongside local optometrists to provide patients with successful solutions to their challenging eye care needs through our unique services,” said Dr. Cohen. “We look forward to providing our patients with an advanced, noninvasive approach to improve their vision. We can also guarantee that our patients will receive uninterrupted visits to successfully create individualized care plans to improve their eye health.”

The facility will be open for patient consultations this month and will specialize in conditions such as myopia, chronic moderate-to-severe dry eye, giant papillary conjunctivitis, presbyopia, keratoconus.
