The Alvin B. Cates Award was presented to Dave Demarest, Josh Hirsh and Brannan Moss with JLL, for the creativity, innovation, persistence, and initiative in completing the development, leasing, and financing of The Battery Atlanta. The challenges encountered in this transaction were incredible and all-encompassing, but the creative thinking and persistence in this endeavor ultimately prevailed and will leave a lasting and positive legacy in Georgia for years to come. The Battery Atlanta has already received international attention, serving as a model template for mixed-use sports-oriented development. This award was created to recognize members for a transaction that is considered to be outstanding, based on creativity, ingenuity and skill, rather than on volume.

Reeves Henritze of Colliers International was the L. Frederick Glass, Jr. Rookie of the Year recipient for her production in excess of $16 million. The Rookie of the Year Award was established in 1999 to recognize an outstanding Young Council member who produced the highest volume in the Million Dollar Club among the Young Council of REALTORS Million Dollar members.
