Keller Knapp Realty, Inc and Red Robin Group, LLC, two of Atlanta’s top boutique real estate brokerage firms, will merge to bring their diverse strengths and resources together for the benefit of clients and agents.

Keller Knapp Realty Principal Broker, Weslee Knapp, is pleased to announce that his firm will merge with Red Robin Group, a smaller Atlanta firm, in May 2017. “Keller Knapp has experienced tremendous growth since 2009, with sales increasing from $25M to $300M in 2016. To manage this growth, we looked at firms with strong marketing, training and management systems in place – systems that we could bring to Keller Knapp offices. We feel like we have found the perfect fit in a partnership with Red Robin Group,” said Knapp.

Post-merger, Keller Knapp Realty will be strategically located with three offices in key intown Atlanta markets (Decatur, Midtown and southeast Atlanta), and more than 100 agents. “Geographically, the Red Robin Group office in southeast Atlanta is a natural extension for Keller Knapp. It is one of the fastest growing markets in Atlanta, and we will be well positioned for strong growth,” said Knapp. “That being said, we will continue to maintain our company as a boutique firm, and ensure that we keep a culture that feels like we’re a family.”

Red Robin Group has its roots in the southeast Atlanta real estate market, focused primarily in neighborhoods south of the I-20 corridor. The company is best known for its creative marketing and posted sales just shy of $60M in 2016. Broker/Owner, Melissa Wakamo, started the group in 2007 and led the team with impressive personal sales peaking at $22M in 2014. As the company grew and added more agents, Wakamo scaled back sales, in favor of management and marketing. “Red Robin has always been a ‘tight ship’, with good management systems in place, and a strong commitment to marketing and agent training. Under the Keller Knapp Realty umbrella, agents with Red Robin Group will continue to operate as a real estate sales team and will maintain their focus on growing market share in southeast and southwest Atlanta, two areas of town where recent explosive market growth is predicted to continue. Wakamo will take the position of Managing Broker at Keller Knapp Realty.
