Target Auction Company announces the upcoming auction sale of the luxury estate at 160 Gaines Road, Cartersville. The auction will take on the premises Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at 11:00am EST.

"This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own a spectacular home created with the imagination and artistic style of its owner, bestselling novelist Iris Johansen," said Dewey Jacobs, President of Target Auction Company. "It has every amenity you can imagine and all the upscale qualities a buyer looks for in a home of this caliber. This would make an ideal family/corporate retreat or entertainment center for athletes or celebrities," said Jacobs.

Conveniently located just off of I-75 between Atlanta and Chattanooga, this stunning estate is situated on 126 ± acres of rolling Northwest Georgia countryside. The 47,000± square foot main home (with furnishings) has five bedrooms, seven full baths and four half-baths.  Features include 14 fireplaces, a two-story office/library designed specifically for Ms. Johansen, three kitchens (one of which is a fully-equipped catering center), and a 21-seat theatre with a café and guest plaza. Custom details throughout have been designed by artisans from all over the world. A commercial-grade elevator serves all four levels of the house.

Also included in the sale is a three-bedroom, three-and-a-half bath guest villa with a pool, as well as a three-bedroom, two-bath caretaker residence, stables and equestrian facilities.

"This home is brand new, never lived in by its owner," said Jacobs. "While it was being finished, family obligations compelled Ms. Johansen to locate elsewhere, and she decided to sell."

Registration for the auction begins at 10:00 AM and a $50,000 certified/cashier's check will be required in order to bid.
