Innovative Architects, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner based in Duluth, Ga., won the Large Company Total Points and Points Per Employee categories in the Bytes for Bites food drive competition with 36,848 total points and 368 points per employee, the most computed points of any large company. In total, Innovative Architects raised $8,954 and 832 pounds for the Atlanta Community Food Bank.
Bytes for Bites supports food banks across the state, with each participating technology firm contributing to its regional food bank. Innovative Architect’s local impact on the Atlanta Community Food Bank will allow ACFB to continue to supply 60 million meals annually in 29 metro Atlanta counties. Childcare centers, senior centers, community kitchens and food pantries benefit from access to ACFB’s resources, according to ACFB website.
“Since this was our first year participating, we were not sure what to expect,” said Laurie Walmsley, Vice President of Client Experience at Innovative Architects. “We were thrilled to see over 80 percent of our employees participating in the drive. The statistics about hunger and food insecurity in our community, along with an internal competition between our two primary locations, really inspired our employees to help out as much as they could.”
