Art on the Atlanta BeltLine Announces Fall Performance Schedule

Staff Report From Metro Atlanta CEO

Wednesday, September 13th, 2017

Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. is excited to announce the performance line up for the eighth annual Art on the Atlanta BeltLine exhibition, beginning with the Lantern Parade on September 9 and continuing through November.

The exhibition boasts more art than ever, with hundreds of participating visual and performance artists. For the first time since 2014, the Westside Trail will reopen with brand new art, reclaiming the three-mile corridor as a cultural space and connection between the southwest Atlanta communities. A full list of participating artists was released earlier this summer and can be found here or at art.beltline.org.

Art on the Atlanta BeltLine is presented by Ponce City Market, 10th & Monroe, and Northside Hospital. Additional support is provided by Cox Enterprises, MailChimp, AJC/Living Northside & Living Intown, Park Tavern, Sunbelt Rentals, Turner, Kroger, Flashpoint Artists Initiative and Inman Park Neighborhood Association.

Major support for this project is provided by the City of Atlanta Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs. Major funding for this organization is provided by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners. This project is also supported in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts. To find out more about how the National Endowment for the Arts grants impact individuals and communities, visit www.arts.gov.

The Lantern Parade was created by Chantelle Rytter and the Krewe of the Grateful Gluttons and is presented by Cox Enterprises, WellStar Atlanta Medical Center, and Target. Additional support is provided by Ponce City Market.
