Atlanta Cyber Week October 2nd-6th

Staff Report From Metro Atlanta CEO

Thursday, September 21st, 2017

Since March, Atlanta’s corporate, economic development and cybersecurity communities have worked collaboratively to organize the inaugural Atlanta Cyber Week (Oct 2-6) in order to showcase the pillars of our region’s burgeoning cybersecurity ecosystem to the world.

Later this week, the events facilitators, Baker Donelson and Metro Atlanta Chamber, will unveil the final schedule and highlights, which will include:

- Eleven total events, anchored by Cybercon and the National Technology National Technology Security Coalition’s CISO Policy Conference

- A product pitch competition featuring 12 cybersecurity companies from 5 countries

- Dozens of prominent CISOs attending from both local and national enterprises

- Renowned speakers, such as Nadav Zafir of the Israeli Defense Forces and representatives from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security National cybersecurity journalist panel

You’re aware that Atlanta’s roots in cybersecurity date back to the industry’s origins. Yet, unfortunately, the reality is that our area's cyber accomplishments, expertise and infrastructure are largely unknown outside the region. Atlanta Cyber Week was established, in part, to show the world why Atlanta can be, and should be, the universal hub for cybersecurity.
