Tuesday, September 12th, 2017

On Sunday night, Atlanta United got their sixth clean sheet of the season in their Mercedes-Benz Stadium debut, with Brad Guzan tallying two saves in the 3-0 win over FC Dallas. That means another $2,000 will be donated to the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Foundation, helping to shut out autism. In partnership with Children’s, the club has now raised a total of $12,000 this season and will hope to add to that total as they continue the journey through their inaugural season.

Children’s is the official pediatric healthcare system and the official pediatric sports medicine program of Atlanta United. One of the nation’s largest pediatric healthcare systems, Children’s is home to a nationally ranked sports medicine program that uses leading-edge research to keep athletes, from pre-teens to adolescents, in top physical shape.

In addition, Children’s serves as the title sponsor for the Atlanta United headquarters, the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Training Ground, which will host national and international soccer clubs visiting Atlanta for tournaments to be held at Mercedes-Benz Stadium as well as act as a base for grass roots soccer initiatives including coach education and referee training.
