GENCapital, a wealth management firm, is proud to announce the sponsorship of the 3rd annual Savannah Kids & Pros football camp and the annual Locker Room Chat Fundraiser for the non-profit corporation. Led by Savannah native Andy Murphy and Jeff Buice, GENCapital offers investment management, financial planning and banking advisory services for individuals, families, businesses, and institutions primarily in the Atlanta and Savannah areas. Curt Lewis, also from Savannah, is a Portfolio Analyst for GENCapital.
The free football camp was held on July 25th at the Pooler Recreation Center and on July 26th and July 27 at Calvary Day School, Andy’s high school alma mater. Nearly 400 athletes and over 200 parents attended the Kids & Pros camp with instruction from nine former NFL athletes.
The Kids & Pros Locker Room Chat is an annual Fall event bringing together football fans with area NFL Legends for a conversation and inside look at what it's like to play the game at the highest level, and what happens on the field and inside the “Locker Room” when the camera stops rolling. This entertaining Kids & Pros fundraiser includes plenty of food and drinks as guests enjoy the conversation with some of the “Legends of the Game.”
In 2002, former Atlanta Falcons Linebacker Buddy Curry founded Kids & Pros with the help of his former Falcons teammate, Bobby Butler. Kids & Pros is a non-profit corporation and character-based youth sports organization that engages retired NFL Players in their communities to teach football fundamental skills and character lessons to youth ages 7 – 13. The Kids & Pros football curriculum challenges experienced players while effectively introduces newcomers to the game. For more information, visit kidsandpros.com.
