Monday, September 25th, 2017

For the third consecutive year, Church's Chicken has set a company fundraising record with approximately $400,000 raised in donations for No Kid Hungry in 2017. The figure is almost $85,000 more than 2016 and brings the total raised over the last two years to almost $700,000, which equates to 7 million meals for hungry kids across the country. The company presented a check to Diana Hovey, the Senior Vice President for Dine Out for No Kid Hungry on Wednesday, September 20th during Church's yearly Excellence in Leadership Conference in Dallas, Texas.

"The work we do with No Kid Hungry is some of the most gratifying work we have the privilege of taking part in," said Dusty Profumo, Chief Financial Officer for Church's, and one of two people who presented the check on behalf of the company. "This organization not only shares our love of community, but also our values like Stepping Up and Doing the Right Thing, so this is a relationship we genuinely treasure."

Georgia Margeson, Senior Director of Advertising at Church's, agrees. "No Kid Hungry has allowed us to make an impact in the communities we serve in ways that go far beyond what's on our menu. Our yearly No Kid Hungry campaign engages our guests, our employees, our managers, and our franchisees – and the generosity we see each year only continues to grow. We hope we can continue to set new records with our donation every year."

From March 27 through April 23, all participating Church's restaurants offered a coupon booklet with more than $20 in savings in return for a $1 donation to No Kid Hungry. Restaurants also offered a Full Hearts family meal for a special value price that also included a $1 donation. 100% of the proceeds from booklet sales and 100% of the $1 donation from Full Hearts meals goes directly to No Kid Hungry, which is ending childhood hunger by making complete meals more available and accessible for the millions of children in America who struggle with hunger.

"It's partners like Church's that make our work possible," said Diana Hovey. "The restaurant and their guests continue to demonstrate the power of compassion and community with the ever-growing amount they donate to our efforts. On behalf of our organization and the millions of children who we help – we thank Church's and its loyal guests for all they've done and continue to do."
