Atlanta-Based Law Firm Welcomes Three Attorneys

Swift, Currie, McGhee & Hiers LLP is pleased to announce the addition of three new associates to its Atlanta office: Evelyn French joins the Litigation practice group and Clayton “Clay” O. Knowles and Brycen Maenza join the firm’s Coverage and Commercial Litigation practice group. Swift Currie has now added a total of 12 attorneys in 2017, as the firm continues a growth phase fueled by its model of delivering high value at reasonable cost to its clients.

French previously served as a judicial clerk under Chief Judge Thomas Thrash for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. Prior to her clerkship, French was a summer associate for Swift Currie in 2014. She has experience researching and drafting judicial opinions for cases involving products liability, antitrust, constitutional and personal injury law. French earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and her law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law.
 
Knowles joins the firm from Martenson Hasbrouck & Simon LLP in Atlanta. Knowles has experience in insurance coverage, commercial litigation, property insurance, automobile liability, arson and fraud and premises liability. Knowles has defended some of Georgia’s most prominent insurance companies and their insureds in litigation involving automobile policies, home owners policies and commercial general liability policies. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and earned his law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law.
 
Maenza joins the firm from Gray, Rust, St. Amand, Moffett & Brieske LLP in Atlanta. Maenza has experience managing various litigation cases, including those involving wrongful death and catastrophic injury, construction, insurance coverage and products liability law. She also has previous experience serving as co-counsel for national insurance clients in the homeowners and automobile liability insurance coverage sectors. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina and her law degree from the New England School of Law.
