The Georgia Grown Commodity Commission is excited to announce the latest addition to the board of members, Dave Legasse, co-founder of The Salt Table LLC, a specialty food company focused on a branded line of salts, seasoning blends, oils and vinegars out of Savannah.

“We are excited to officially welcome Dave to the Georgia Grown team,” said Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Gary W. Black.  “He has been a long-time partner and avid supporter of the program and his knowledge and experience will be a great asset to the Georgia Grown mission.”

Legasse brings over 40 years of experience in marketing and public relations, most notably the founding of his own full-service marketing and public relations firm. As a board member of organizations such as Visit Savannah and Georgia Coast Travel Association, Legasse has been an integral part in the development of marketing strategies for his community and the State of Georgia as a whole.

“My wife and I have been avid supporters of Georgia Grown for years. It’s the ultimate ‘Buy Local’ organization for the agricultural industry of Georgia and it brings focus on the many talented producers of this state,” said Legasse. “I am very honored to be appointed to the Georgia Grown Commodity Commission and look forward to serving with the fine people of the Georgia Grown commission and the Georgia Department of Agriculture.”

As a member of the Georgia Grown commission, Legasse will serve as an advisor to other Georgia Grown team members, as well as an ambassador to the public supporting the Georgia Grown program initiatives.  He joins current members Diana Earwood, Andy Stone, Tony McBrayer, Sheila Rice and Duke Lane.
