Gilbane Building Company is pleased to announce that Carlos Torres has joined the construction management leadership in the role of Director of the Corporate and Public Markets for the Atlanta business unit. With his prior experience managing projects, Torres developed an outstanding record of client satisfaction in the education, mixed-use, hospitality and student housing markets. This strategic hire reflects Gilbane’s continued growth in the multi-family and higher education markets.

Torres comes to Gilbane with more than 30 years in the construction industry around the Southeast, having spent the past 10 years in the Atlanta area. Some of his most recognizable projects include the Georgian Terrace Hotel, University House Student Housing, One12 Courtland at Georgia State University, Columbus State Student Housing and Dalton State Student Housing.

Gilbane is expecting record growth this year and has bold plans for the future with Torres on their team.
