Swift Currie Welcomes Four New Associates in Atlanta

Swift, Currie, McGhee & Hiers LLP is pleased to announce the addition of four new associates to its Atlanta office: Britt Beecher, Joanna Hair, Elliot Kerzner and Karen Lowell. Swift Currie has now added a total of 16 attorneys in 2017, as the firm continues a growth phase fueled by its model of delivering high value at reasonable cost to its clients.

Beecher joins the firm’s Workers’ Compensation team. Prior to joining the firm, Beecher was an attorney for Moore Clarke DuVall & Rodgers PC in Savannah. Beecher has experience in insurance and workers’ compensation and focuses his practice on the defense of individuals, businesses and insurers in general civil litigation and workers’ compensation matters. He earned his undergraduate from Georgia Southern University and earned his law degree from Mercer University School of Law, where he graduated cum laude.
 
Hair joins the firm’s Workers’ Compensation team. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as the staff attorney to Clayton County, Georgia, Superior Court Chief Judge Albert B. Collier. Hair earned her undergraduate degree from Agnes Scott College, where she graduated magna cum laude, and earned her law degree from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.
 
Kerzner joins the firm’s Commercial Litigation and Insurance Coverage team. Prior to joining the firm, Kerzner worked as an attorney at Wood Smith Henning & Berman LLP in Atlanta. He has experience advising and representing insurers in a broad range of coverage and litigation matters, including commercial general liability and construction defect claims. Kerzner also represents domestic and international insurers in coverage disputes and defending insureds against property damage and personal injury claims. He earned his undergraduate degree in Talmudic Law from Beth Medrash Govoha and earned his law degree from Emory University School of Law.
 
Lowell joins the firm’s Workers’ Compensation team. She served as a law clerk for Swift Currie during the summer of 2016. Lowell earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and earned her law degree from Georgia State University College of Law.
