Chef Steven Satterfield will deliver the keynote address at the 2018 Georgia Organics Conference & Expo in Augusta. Satterfield is the Executive Chef and Co-owner of Miller Union in Atlanta and author of Root to Leaf: A Southern Chef Cooks Through the Seasons. Named “2017’s Best Chef in the Southeast” by the James Beard Foundation, he will deliver the keynote address at the Farmers Feast on Feb. 17 at 6 p.m. “It’s a huge honor to be able to speak to this crowd because our principles and our values are highly aligned with those of Georgia Organics,” said Satterfield.

Satterfield is a long-time Georgia Organics supporter and plans to share his personal journey discovering the links between eating seasonally, protecting our health, and safeguarding our natural environment in a speech titled “The Value of Food”. “There’s a great synergy with Georgia Organics, the farm community and the restaurant community so this is a wonderful way for me to give back to the organization,” said Satterfield. Also, my words will hopefully inspire the audience to do some deep thinking about how we value food.”

One of the largest of its kind in the Southeast, the Georgia Organics Conference connects farmers, educators, advocates, chefs, and organic food enthusiasts passionate about connecting Georgia food to Georgia families.
