Georgia Chamber of Commerce Names Tim Wallis and Boyd Petit Region 1 Chair and Vice Chair

Following the announcement of the Georgia Chamber’s newest statewide initiative to advance economic prosperity, the organization named Tim Wallis and Boyd Petit as Region 1 Chair and Vice Chair.
 
Tim Wallis, President and Owner of Wallis Printing Co., and Boyd Petit, Partner and General Counsel of GeorgiaLink Public Affairs Group, L.L.C. have been elected to preside over Region 1. Region 1 represents Dalton, Georgia, which encompasses the counties of Murray and Whitfield.
 
Georgia Chamber President and CEO Chris Clark expressed his excitement, “As a successful local business owner, Tim understands the importance of community development. Local businesses are a critical element of economic stability. With a strong tri-state labor force, Northwest Georgia provides unique business advantages that will help to create workforce development opportunities. We hope to strengthen our regional alliance, as we work to improve economic prosperity across the state. As a former state representative and public affairs expert, Boyd Petit will provide the skills and resources needed to help progress the Chamber’s political efforts. We look forward to working with them both in our pursuit to improve economic mobility to ensure that Georgia remains the # 1 state for businesses of all sizes.”
 
Regional leadership plays a vital role in the Chamber’s success, as they help to enhance the localization and independence of the Chamber’s political efforts in every region across the state.
The Georgia Chamber confirmed that the organization will remain under the leadership of Chairman Kessel Stelling, Chairman and CEO of Synovus, and Vice Chairman, Bill Leahy, President of AT&T Georgia Southeast Region.
