The Advanced Technology Development Center is taking 12 leading Georgia-based tech firms to the West Coast in April as part of its Spring 2018 ATDC Venture Showcase for two days of meetings with Northern California-based venture capitalists.

ATDC is Georgia’s globally recognized technology incubator. It launched the ATDC Venture Showcase in 2017 with trips to San Francisco and New York City to connect the founders of some of Georgia’s most dynamic tech companies with top-tier venture capital firms.

“ATDC continues to be a key conduit for venture capitalists who seek, high-growth, cutting-edge tech companies in which to invest,” said ATDC Investor Relations Manager Michael A. Maziar. “Last year’s Venture Showcases connected more than 60 firms with 24 Georgia tech companies. That led to seed and Series A funding of more than $25 million.”

The 2018 Spring ATDC Venture Showcase will take place on April 10 and 11, with an event in Palo Alto and another in San Francisco.

Ten of the participating companies are in ATDC’s current portfolio or graduates of its program.

The 12 companies are:

  • Authomate: Security software using smartphone in vicinity of application, system, website or device to authenticate the user.

  • EVO: Uses biosensor data and deep analytic expertise to improve health and wellbeing through compelling customer engagement.

  • Florence Healthcare: software for clinical trial sites, pharma and device sponsors to discover, manage and monitor studies in a new way.

  • KNOW Foods: A leading provider of grain-free food products.

  • Mogean: Data science platform providing real-time, first party stream of information on consumer location and context.

  • Rigor: Web, mobile, and API performance SaaS solution.

  • Smart Commerce: SaaS solution used by leading consumer product group brands to help customers directly cart products from any digital touch point, to any online retailer.

  • Stackfolio: Integrated data research platform helps institutions make sophisticated trading decisions on loans.

  • Sudu: Two-sided marketplace that uses technology to connect large freight shippers to small and medium sized trucking companies.

  • TrustStamp: proprietary, patented, artificial intelligence (AI) biometric authentication systems to answer two pervasive questions: "Who are you" and "should I trust you?"

  • Unbrokerage: The easiest way to purchase and manage business liability insurance; completely online and human contact is optional.

  • Verady: Cryptocurrency accounting and audit technology providing way for financial institutions, corporations, and individuals to audit, account, and report on blockchain assets.

“Every one of these companies is generating revenue and has a strong customer pipeline,” Maziar said. “They represent a cross section of industries and sectors and capture the startup vibrancy and rigor that defines Georgia’s technology ecosystem.”

ATDC’s Investor Connect program strategically matches the incubator’s Signature and Accelerate portfolio companies with investor interactions. The ATDC Venture Showcase is co-hosted by Aprio, DLA Piper, the Metro Atlanta Chamber, Morris, Manning & Martin, Silicon Valley Bank, and Venture Atlanta.
