The Alvin B. Cates Award was presented to Mary Katherine McRae, Chris Wagner and Dom Wyant of JLL, for the creativity, innovation, persistence, and initiative in completing the development, leasing, and financing of the Serta Simmons Headquarters in Doraville at Assembly. The challenges encountered in this transaction were incredible and all-encompassing, but the creative thinking and persistence in this endeavor ultimately prevailed and will help create a mixed use, modern community that will be a transit oriented, walking and biking environment, while also creating renewed economic development opportunities within the Doraville community.  This award was created to recognize members for a transaction that is considered to be outstanding, based on creativity, ingenuity and skill, rather than on volume.

Liz Koteles of JLL was recognized as the L. Frederick Glass, Jr. Rookie of the Year Recipient for her production in excess of $48 million. The Rookie of the Year Award was established in 1999 to recognize an outstanding Young Council member who produced the highest volume in the Million Dollar Club amongst the Young Council of REALTORS® Million Dollar members.
