SMASHmouse announced its inclusion into the Nashville Entrepreneur Center and Country Music Association 2018 Project Music Portfolio program as part of a year-round, industry-leading entrepreneurship program designed to accelerate the success of growth-oriented music-minded startups.

Atlanta-based SMASHmouse is the first-ever foot-controlled PC mouse and control pedal, designed to revolutionize the way users control mouse, play-back and many other functions on digital devices. It’s been hailed by both seasoned musicians and amateurs for its usability and versatility. In January, SMASHmouse was named “Best Controller” by SonicState at the 2018 National Association of Music Merchants.

SMASHmouse is one of thirteen diverse startups chosen to the program, where they will receive on-demand support and a music industry immersion, connecting them to industry leaders and experts as well as superior startup curriculum. The 2018 Project Music Portfolio program kicks off the first week of April.

“As a start-up, SMASHmouse is humbled to be participating in an esteemed program that values innovation and entrepreneurship,” said Robb Dillon, SMASHmouse Founder and CEO. “We are interested in all avenues that expand the music industry forward and propel new generations of musicians to pick up a guitar and riff—whether in their garage, on YouTube or in a multimillion dollar recording studio.”

In a statement, CMA Chief Marketing Officer Damon Whiteside said, “Our mission is to expand Country Music globally, and these inventive and forward-thinking individuals are a key to the future of our business.”
