Georgia DOT Awards $24.8M in Resurfacing and Bridge Contracts

Georgia DOT has awarded 15 construction contracts for statewide transportation projects totaling $24,803,254. These projects were advertised in January, bids were received on February 16 and contracts were awarded on March 2 to the lowest qualified bidder.
 
Routine maintenance represents 82 percent of the awarded funds and addresses resurfacing on 84 miles of roadway across the state. Construction contracts for three bridges in Harris County in west central Georgia and a bridge rehabilitation in Lanier County in southwest Georgia were also awarded.
 
The awards bring the eight-month Fiscal Year 2018 total construction contracts to $670.5 million. FY 18 began July 1, 2017.
