PulteGroup announced that its Built to Honor program has been chosen to receive a $20,000 grant from Hearthstone, who wanted to recognize Pulte’s commitment to public service through its Built to Honor program.

PulteGroup’s Built to Honor program was launched in 2013 to recognize and thank returning military personnel injured during their term of service by providing mortgage-free homes to the veterans and their families.

“Building homes for our nation’s heroes is a huge undertaking and it wouldn’t be possible without the generous donations of time, materials and financial support we receive. We are grateful for Hearthstone’s contribution as we anticipate building five new homes for veterans and their families this year,” said Ryan Marshall, President and CEO of PulteGroup. “This gift will be put to good use to ensure that each Built to Honor home meets the specific needs of the veteran and his or her family.”

Since 2013, the Built to Honor program has delivered homes to 50 veterans who now have a place to call home as they transition out of the military and into a new phase of their lives. As a homebuilder, providing a home is the best way for PulteGroup to give back to the nation’s service members.

“Hearthstone is proud to recognize PulteGroup for its leadership and commitment in their support of our veterans and their families as they rebuild their lives here at home. The Hearthstone Team is honored to do our small part to support Pulte’s great work on behalf of Built to Honor.” said Mark Porath, CEO of Hearthstone.
