Wells Fargo VP Tapped to Join Communities In Schools of Atlanta's Board of Directors

Kristina Christy of Wells Fargo has been appointed as the newest member of the board of directors of Communities In Schools of Atlanta – the nation’s largest dropout prevention network established in Atlanta with a proven track record of positively impacting graduation rates.
 
Currently, Christy is the Vice President of Atlanta and North Georgia Community Affairs at Wells Fargo. With over 20 years of experience in corporate social responsibility and community affairs, she works to drive community outreach within the company through effective corporate giving and employee volunteer placement.

In addition, she has shown her passion for education initiatives as the head of the Wells Fargo Foundation in Atlanta and North Georgia. The local foundation’s mission is to support K-12 programs that tighten the achievementgap, and work with charitable organizations that improve adult financial literacy, affordable housing and workforce development.  Throughout her time working with Wells Fargo and other organizations, she has established herself as a thought leader in the field.
 
Before coming on board with Communities In Schools of Atlanta, Christy has been a member of multiple other boards including: Trees Atlanta (2002-2013), The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta’s Art Fund (2011-2015), the Atlanta Foundation Center (2008-2014), Vox Youth Communications Advisory Board (2013-2015), and the Atlanta Regional Commission Arts and Culture Committee (2013-2014).
