PulteGroup, Inc. announced a partnership with Operation Homefront, a national nonprofit organization whose mission is to build strong, stable, and secure military families. Together, Pulte and Operation Homefront will provide mortgage-free homes to the families of deserving veterans and families transitioning from military to civilian life.

Through the company’s Built to Honor™ program, which was launched in 2013, PulteGroup has already delivered 50 new, mortgage-free homes to veterans across the country. Now, in partnership with Operation Homefront’s “Homes on the Homefront” initiative, PulteGroup is working to expand the program even further.

“Our new partnership with Operation Homefront is a direct result of our shared mission to support our veterans who have valiantly served our country,” said Ryan Marshall, president and CEO of PulteGroup. “It is only through our relationship with Operation Homefront and other veterans’ organizations, along with the generous support of our suppliers and trade partners, that we can make these homes a reality for deserving families. We hope that in some small way we’re making a difference for these families as they transition back to civilian life.”

PulteGroup and Operation Homefront have already kicked-off their partnership in the “Homes on the Homefront” initiative by recently gifting a Built to Honor home to a deserving family in St. Cloud, Florida.

“We are honored to have the opportunity to work with PulteGroup to make the dream of home ownership a reality for military families,” said Brig. Gen. (ret.) John I. Pray Jr., President and CEO of Operation Homefront. “PulteGroup clearly understands how a strong, stable and secure home provides military families with the solid foundation they need to do more than simply struggle to get by, but actually thrive in the civilian communities they have worked so hard to protect.”

PulteGroup will also join forces with Operation Homefront on its new pilot program, “Transitional Homes for Community Reintegration.” As participating veterans begin the process of re-integrating into civilian life, they are able to live in a safe, secure, single-family home for a period of two to three years, while reducing debt, increasing savings and preparing for independent and successful home ownership. As a part of this new initiative, PulteGroup homes in Ruskin, Florida; Stephens City, Virginia; and San Antonio, Texas will house participating families. These homes will remain in Operation Homefront’s inventory for 15-20 years to serve an estimated 50-80 military families.
