Revel Systems, a feature-rich Point of Sale and complete business management platform, announced the opening of a new regional office in Atlanta. The move brings Revel into the heart of Atlanta’s technology community to service its existing and rapidly growing customer base.

The new Midtown location opens in August 2018 and will be headed by Erick Kobres, CTO. Revel plans to create more than 170 technology jobs in Atlanta over the next 2-3 years, across several functional areas, focused primarily on software development and sales. Revel’s first hire is Chris Lybeer, Chief Strategy Officer, who brings over twenty years of experience in retail and financial software.

The expansion comes on the heels of a momentous 2017, in which the company augmented its global business operations with a series of executive appointments and partnerships. From fast casual and fine dining, to specialty retail and convenience stores, Revel’s platform is in more locations than ever.

“Atlanta is a thriving financial and retail technology hub and a natural fit for global, technology-based companies,” said Greg Dukat, CEO of Revel Systems. “Our business is expanding rapidly as our customers grow and as we continue to onboard new customers. Our new Atlanta office will enable us to accelerate the development of innovative solutions to meet the needs of new and existing customers and support our burgeoning partner network.”

“Revel Systems chose Georgia for all the right reasons - access to talent, to be part of a thriving technology hub and to expand their global operations,” said Georgia Department of Economic Development Commissioner Pat Wilson. “We are excited they chose Atlanta for their new regional office, and we look forward to working with them.”

Atlanta is home to many colleges and universities, research centers, and technology companies. Revel’s new location will allow the company to recruit from the area’s top-notch high-tech talent pool, including Georgia Tech. Revel has joined the College of Computing at Georgia Tech’s Corporate Affiliates Program (CAP). As a partner, Revel will work with CAP to engage with the student community, create internship and cooperative work-study opportunities, conduct co-sponsored research projects, sponsor capstone projects, place graduates in great careers, and more.

“Atlanta is a dynamic city brimming with tech talent,” said Erick Kobres, Chief Technology Officer of Revel Systems. “Our state-of-the art software engineering center will not only support innovation initiatives, but also open up new opportunities for the Atlanta workforce.”

“We’re pleased to welcome Revel Systems to Atlanta and to the college’s Corporate Affiliate Program,” said College of Computing Assistant Dean for Outreach, Enrollment and Community Cedric Stallworth. “This partnership creates substantial opportunities for our students to network, intern, and ultimately pursue career opportunities with Revel. We look forward to working with them and watching their ranks grow with our talented Georgia Tech graduates.”

Revel’s new office is located in the newly renovated Bank of America Plaza in Midtown. Christian Devlin, First Vice President at CBRE, represented Revel in the lease transaction.
