Georgia Optometric Association Names New Board Officers

Dr. Scott Emely of Suwanee was recently selected by his peers to serve as president of the board of trustees of the Georgia Optometric Association.
 
Founded in 1904, the Georgia Optometric Association is a statewide professional organization whose more than 700 members serve communities throughout the state and work to provide the public with quality vision and eye care services.
 
Other doctors of optometry were elected to board positions as well.

Dr. Jeanne Perrine of Atlanta was selected to serve as treasurer of the board. Dr. Perrine owned and operated a private practice for more than 30 years and remains active in the profession. She has a special interest in the diseases of glaucoma and dry eye conditions.
