Greenberg Traurig’s Marcella Ducca Named Products Liability Law360 Rising Star

Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Marcella Ducca was selected as a Law360 Products Liability Rising Star for 2018. This year, Law360 recognized 168 attorneys under 40, chosen out of 1,200 entries for their outstanding legal talent and career achievements.

Ducca was also recently recognized by the American Bar Association on its 2017 “On the Rise: Top 40 Young Layers” list and has been selected by Georgia Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” since 2013.

Ducca, a shareholder in the firm’s Atlanta office, specializes in women’s health and medical device issues and has successfully represented many major clients in high-profile cases. She is a leader in her practice, helping to coordinate the defense of significant mass torts across the country, as well as serving as a critical member on several trial teams. Ducca has found a niche in the crucial process of identifying and preparing experts for testimony.

Consistently eager to dig into the details of a case, Ducca is noted by her colleagues for her dedication to learning about the medicine, science, and technology behind clients’ products. She is always willing to extend a helping hand to up-and-coming lawyers and acts as a mentor to numerous junior lawyers.

Ducca is involved with numerous legal and community organizations. This includes holding multiple roles in the Young Lawyers Division of the American Bar Association, as well as actively mentoring young law students as an active member of the Emerging Leaders Board of Advisors for The Institute for Complex Litigation and Mass Claims at Emory University School of Law. She is most proud of serving as Volunteer Broadcaster with the Georgia Radio Reading Service, reading newspapers, magazines, and books to the blind and visually impaired.
