GeorgiaForward announced the host community for their 2019 Class of Young Gamechangers will be Monroe/Walton County, Georgia. The class will work on the project from January through August 2019. Applications are open now for individuals from around the state who would like to join the Young Gamechangers leadership action program and work on the project.

“The City of Monroe is proud to host GeorgiaForward and the 2019 Class of Young Gamechangers,” stated Monroe Mayor John S. Howard.  “This group of the best and brightest from a wide variety of backgrounds, education levels, and professions will offer unique ways to help us as we prepare for future growth. We are pleased with the direction our town is headed, and we are thrilled to have such a wonderful group from around the state help us by providing ideas and solutions to some our challenges, and by identifying new opportunities for us as we move into the future.”

“We are excited about working with the City of Monroe,” says Kris Vaughn, Executive Director of GeorgiaForward. “Their leadership is very proactive and continually strives to improve their community. They are a great fit for our Young Gamechangers program because they see the value in getting a younger perspective on issues and in having young leadership engaged in the community.”
