The Oracle Applications Users Group, an independent, global, member-led organization that maximizes users’ investment in Oracle and partner solutions, today announced Ragan Cohn, CAE, as its new executive director.

In this position, Cohn will advise and assist the board of directors on matters of strategy and ensure that all operational, financial and member-experience initiatives are successfully executed.

Cohn comes to the OAUG with more than 19 years of experience in strategic planning, policy administration, meeting facilitation, communications strategy, volunteer management and board development. During her tenure at the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, Cohn held a number of roles, serving most recently as the vice president of governance and communication.

“I’m delighted to welcome Ragan to the leadership team,” said OAUG President Christine Hipp. “Her considerable experience in operational roles and her track record of leading innovative programs makes her the perfect leader to help the OAUG advance its mission of facilitating knowledge sharing and collaboration among Oracle Applications users.”

Said Cohn, “It’s an exciting time to join the OAUG, an organization committed to building on its 28-year history of helping companies and individual users get the most from their investments in Oracle software applications, ultimately helping businesses run more effectively and efficiently. Change is the only constant in the tech sector, though, and so I look forward to partnering with our board and the staff as we continue to evolve to meet the needs of Oracle customers as product offerings diversify and options grow increasingly complex.”

Cohn is a graduate of the Grady College of Journalism at the University of Georgia and holds the Certified Association Executive certification through the American Society of Association Executives.
