Atlanta Dogwood Festival Welcomes New Board Members

The Atlanta Dogwood Festival welcomes four new members to its Board of Directors. As board members, Brian Conlan, Vanderbilt “Van” Fears, Brittany Rose and David Shutley will help guide the 83-year-old festival into the future.
 
Conlan is a commercial construction professional working in the structural design and project management fields. Currently, he is vice president of Diversakore structural framing experts. Conlan previously worked with the technology company Agilysys as a product marketing manager. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from Georgia State University.
 
Fears is president of Fears Consulting Services in Tyrone and is an expert in P&L management and strategic sales. Prior to launching his own company, Fears served as director of supply chain and strategic sourcing for Hillphoenix Inc., a subsidiary of Dover Corporation. He is a board member of HUB Capital Group LLC, an investment holding company targeting manufacturing and distribution concerns. Fears earned a Bachelor of Science in applied mathematics from Morehouse College, a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
 
As the executive assistant to the vice president of global public policy, environmental sustainability and social impact at The Coca-Cola Company, Rose provides administrative support and manages logistics for international visitors, including senior government officials, using appropriate protocols. She previously worked with the British Consulate-General in Atlanta and with the Southern Environmental Law Center. Rose earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science/pre-law and a paralegal certificate from University of Georgia. She is a member of the Protocol and Diplomacy International – Protocol Officers Association.

A native Atlantan, Shutley has been in banking for 30 years. He is currently an EVP and capital markets manager at IBERIABANK in Buckhead. Previously, Shutley worked with Wachovia and Atlantic Capital Bank. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Duke University and an MBA from Georgia State University. In addition to serving on the Atlanta Dogwood Festival board, he is board treasurer at the Atlanta Youth Project.
