The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Georgia Chapter Grows Its Board of Trustees

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Georgia Chapter is pleased to announce the appointment of eight new members to the Georgia Chapter Board of Trustees. The eight new members join an elite group of Trustees to provide strategic guidance, financial oversight, and fundraising assistance for LLS.

New board members include:

Cromwell Baun, First Vice President – Wealth Management, UBS Financial Services, Inc. Prior to his career in the financial services industry, Mr. Baun was a tax professional with Arthur Andersen LLP and Deloitte & Touche LLP in Atlanta. Mr. Baun is a dedicated LLS volunteer serving as a Man & Woman of the Year Candidate, Atlanta Leadership Committee Chair, Man & Woman of the Year All-Star Candidate, and Chair of the Man & Woman of the Year Leadership Team. Mr. Baun also serves on the Board of Trustees for The Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta and is on the Advisory Council of the Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Angela Blank, Director at The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation & one of Atlanta’s most prominent philanthropists. Mrs. Blank is a seasoned sales, marketing and branding professional who now dedicates her talents to building and growing causes that she is passionate about. Mrs. Blank started her involvement with LLS through the Atlanta Students of the Year campaign which raised a total of $1.3M in 2018. She also devotes her time to increasing exposure, funding, education and teen involvement on the Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) National Board. Since 2013, she has served as the co-chair of Walk Like MADD 5k.

David Jaugstetter, Vice President, Client Services at ADP. Mr. Jaugstetter has held a number of client-serving leadership roles in a career spanning more than 32 years at ADP. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Fairleigh Dickinson University.  Mr. Jaugstetter has raised money for LLS through the Team in Training (TNT) campaign and most recently by forming a Light The Night (LTN) corporate team with ADP. In addition to supporting LLS, Mr. Jaugstetter volunteers his time with the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Augusta and the CSRA Foundation.  He is a graduate of Leadership Augusta (Class of 2012) and a member of Elks Lodge #0205 in Augusta.

Christine Pullara Newton, Host of “Atlanta & Co.” on WXIA, 11 Alive in Atlanta. Mrs. Newton has worn many hats in her 25 years in television. From award-winning news anchor to freelance journalist to even commercial actor and model. For the past nine years Christine has hosted “Atlanta & Co” weekdays from 11:00am to 12:30pm on WXIA TV, Channel 11. Mrs. Newton is excited to be involved with LLS and has emceed the LLS Man & Woman of the Year Grand Finale Gala for the last seven years. Her brother was diagnosed with Hairy Cell Leukemia in 2006 and is currently a survivor. Through his battle, she is inspired to commit more time and awareness around finding a cure.  

Robert Reeves, Managing Director, Global Risk Analytics- Enterprise Analytics at Bank of America. Mr. Reeves studied Computer Science and Economics at Mercer University and later earned a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Georgia. Mr. Reeves has worked in Risk Analytics for Bank of America, one of the world’s leading financial institutions serving individual consumer, small and middle-market businesses, and large corporations with a full range of banking, investing, asset management and other financial and risk management products and services. Mr. Reeves and his wife, Lisa, have been involved with many LLS campaigns including Team In Training, Man & Woman of the Year, and Light The Night.  

Stacy Sager, President and Chief Executive Officer of the SAGERSTRONG Foundation and surviving spouse to the late Hall of Fame Sportscaster Craig Sager. Ms. Sager is a passionate advocate for people with cancer. She has spent more than 20 years working toward ways to diminish suffering caused by cancer and other conditions. Ms. Sager received her bachelor’s degree in Biology from University of Illinois at Chicago. She worked in the Cardiac Rhythm Management division of Boston Scientific for close to a decade. Craig and Stacy started the SAGERSTRONG Foundation in the hopes that, one day, cancer patients and their families will never have to go through the battle they endured.

Amy Kissam-Sands has more than 20 years of executive level management experience working in global Clinical Research Organizations (CROs), with a focus on clinical operations, customer alliances, quality control, clinical process integration and technology platform development. Mrs. Kissam-Sands recently stepped down from her position to focus on her philanthropy efforts, and volunteers her time with many noteworthy organizations including: Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) National Board and GA Advisory Board, The Warrior Alliance, and The Fontaine Center and St. Ann’s Church. Mrs. Kissam-Sands looks forward to becoming part of LLS because of its innovation to rapidly seek cures for not only blood cancers, but for many common or similar disease states while also focused on quality and care of the patients.

Terri Theisen, Principal Consultant at Theisen Consulting. Ms. Theisen is an experienced management consultant serving nonprofits, foundations, academic institutions and government agencies in the areas of human services, public health, healthcare, education, arts/culture, and community development. Her approach to strategic and operational planning, along with expertise in board governance/effectiveness, executive leadership transitions, evaluation, and organizational assessment combine to support organizations in aligning their plans, people and processes to produce results. Ms. Theisen has a high regard for LLS staff and Board and as a cancer survivor herself, is impressed with the work being done by LLS in cancer research and patient support.
