Pursley Friese Torgrimson is pleased to announce the addition of attorney Jeff Haymore to the firm’s growing zoning and land use practice. Haymore was previously an attorney with the City of Atlanta and brings more than 13 years of experience litigating zoning and land use matters in the city’s legal department.

During his tenure with the City of Atlanta, Haymore regularly litigated cases at the state, federal and appellate courts in areas including annexation, building permits, code enforcement, comprehensive planning, condemnation and sign ordinances. He worked on numerous large-scale developments across Atlanta such as Ponce City Market, Porsche Experience Center and headquarters, and The Gulch development. He also assisted with planning for major national sporting events such as the 2013 NCAA Final Four tournament, the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship and Super Bowl 2019.

Located in Atlanta, Pursley Friese Torgrimson is a growing real estate transactional and litigation law firm. The firm’s areas of practice include condemnation and eminent domain, leasing, acquisitions and dispositions, transportation, and zoning and land use. The zoning and land use team includes attorneys Doug Dillard, Julie Sellers, Baxter Russell, Jennifer Taylor, and Haymore.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to transfer my government experience to serve private-sector clients. With the influx of development across the metro Atlanta region, I couldn’t think of a better firm to join,” Haymore said. “Although we often served on opposing sides in the past, I have always had a wonderful working relationship with the attorneys of Pursley Friese Torgrimson and the highest degree of respect for the firm’s land use attorneys.”

Partner Julie Sellers added, “We feel very fortunate to have Jeff joining the firm. The scope of his experience will allow us to expand our practice of successfully navigating zoning matters for our wide variety of clients across the region and state. Jeff is a strong advocate and his accessibility, intellect, and good nature earned him the respect of his colleagues and clients at the City, as well as his opposing counsel.”

Haymore earned his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University and his law degree from Georgia State University. He also holds a master’s degree in city and regional planning from Georgia Tech.
