Jim Chapman Communities, metro Atlanta’s premier 55+ homebuilder, has won three OBIE Awards from the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association.  GAHBA presents the annual awards each November to recognize outstanding building, remodeling, marketing and personal achievement in the new home construction industry.  Jim Chapman Communities received the following awards:

GOLD OBIE – Community of the Year for Detached Homes for Sweet Briar Farms.

SILVER OBIE – Best Amenity Package, 499 Units or Less for Sweet Briar Farms

Sweet Briar Farms is a private, gated 55+ age restricted community near the city of Woodstock, Ga. in Atlanta’s northern suburbs.  The epicenter of this pastoral new community is the professionally-decorated clubhouse designed by developer Jim Chapman and his father, noted architect Jim Chapman, senior.  Created to evoke a gracious Southern home with its white columns and wide veranda, the clubhouse is adjacent to a beautiful pool and outdoor fireplace.  The community is just minutes away from Woodstock’s charming historic downtown, casual and fine dining, shopping, medical facilities and recreation, as well as less than an hour from downtown Atlanta and the north Georgia mountains.  Sweet Briar Farms includes 85 single-family homes on 67 bucolic acres with a three-acre lake, walking trails, a community garden and sidewalks throughout the property.

SILVER OBIE – Best Interior Merchandising of a Detached Model $400K-$499K for Nestledown Farm

Nestledown Farm is a gated, age-restricted 55+ active adult community just north of downtown Cumming, Ga.  When completed, the community will include 80 low-maintenance, single-family homes including “true ranch” style houses.  Within the 45-acre development are an outdoor pool, pickle ball court, a community garden and clubhouse designed by Jim Chapman and his father, Jim Chapman, Sr.  Designed to be walking and pet-friendly, Nestledown Farm will include sidewalks along the interior community roads.
