Taylor English Welcomes Partners Travis Dehaven and John Mills

Taylor English Duma LLP is pleased to welcome Travis DeHaven as a partner in the firm’s Corporate and Business practice group and John Mills as a partner in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice group.
 
DeHaven has 30 years of experience representing a variety of Fortune 500 clients and other sophisticated private companies in matters related to employee benefits and executive compensation. DeHaven previously served as a partner in Troutman Sanders, a national law firm, and Jones Day, an international law firm. At Troutman Sanders, DeHaven was the practice group leader, and more recently at Jones Day, DeHaven doubled the Employee Benefits and Compensation practice group in the Atlanta office, which was recognized by Best Lawyers in America as a Tier 1 EBEC practice. DeHaven provides practical advice to help his clients succeed. His dedicated process includes spending important time with boards of directors, senior management and employee plan fiduciaries providing strategic advice to accomplish desired goals and outcomes. He earned both his bachelor’s degree and his law degree from the University of Georgia.
 
Mills brings more than 28 years of experience navigating litigation in the state and federal courts of California, Georgia and New York. He focuses his practice on bankruptcy, debtor/creditor rights, bankruptcy acquisitions and insolvency related litigation, including receiverships and foreclosures as well as commercial, real estate and finance related litigation. Mills has authored a number of articles and seminar materials on a wide range of topics related to his practice and as a member of the Advisory Board of the Emory Bankruptcy Developments Journal. He serves on the Executive Committee of the Bankruptcy Section of the Beverly Hills Bar Association and is the former chair of the Bankruptcy section of the Atlanta Bar Association. Mills has received several awards for his pro bono and volunteer work including the Los Angeles Free Clinic’s Legal Volunteer of the Year Award, the Atlanta Bar Association’s Pro Bono Award and Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta’s Law Firm Attorney of the Year Award. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Wofford College and his law degree from Emory University School of Law.
