ACVB Welcomes Dexter Warrior as 2019 Chair

Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau elected Dexter Warrior to serve as chair of the board of directors for 2019. Warrior serves as principal & chief operating officer of T. Dallas Smith & Company.
 
 “As we enter the final stretch of one of Atlanta’s most transformative decades, Dexter’s leadership will help us continue to promote Atlanta as one of the leading convention and leisure destinations in the country,” said William Pate, president and CEO, ACVB. “As a life-long resident and long-standing supporter of Atlanta’s hospitality community, Dexter will be a great asset to ACVB and the 53 million visitors traveling here annually.”
 
Warrior joined ACVB’s board in 2012. He began his career in real estate in 1981 and joined T. Dallas and Company in 2010. He is involved in the Atlanta Commercial Board of REALTORS, The Carter Center Board of Councilors, the Atlanta Business League, Georgia State University Real Estate Honorary Board and Leadership Atlanta. Warrior earned his Bachelor of Business Administration and master's in real estate from Georgia State University. 

“As a native Atlantan, I’ve witnessed the city’s hospitality industry grow and I am thrilled to chair ACVB during an exciting year, kicked off by Super Bowl LIII,” said Warrior. “Our many amazing developments throughout the region continue to make Georgia a welcoming destination for the world to visit.”

ACVB’s chair is elected by the board of directors.
