Dixon Hughes Goodman and the DHG Foundation donated $5,000 to the American Heart Association to go toward education and research for heart disease and stroke. On Friday, February 1, 2019, DHG team members arrived at the office, proudly wearing red in support of the fight against heart disease.

DHG pledged to donate $10 for every employee who wore red and posted a photo on social media channels using hashtags such as #DHGIMPACT, #GoRedForWomen and #NationalWearRedDay. Wearing red served as an outward symbol of DHG’s support to fight heart disease and the firm’s passion around community awareness and fundraising efforts. Heart disease claims the lives of more American women than all cancers combined.

“It was incredible to walk through the office and see so many of our people wearing red in support of this event,” said Pat Shuler, President of the DHG Foundation. “I am proud to say that more than half of our DHG offices participated in the campaign by wearing red on National Wear Red Day in support of American Heart Month. Their dedication to our firm values and passion for serving our communities is truly inspiring. We are honored to make this donation and play a small role in helping the American Heart Association continue its efforts to raise awareness around heart health.”
