Atlanta Fed Names Levy Vice President

Stephen Levy has been promoted to vice president and controller for the Financial Management and Planning Department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, announced Raphael Bostic, president and chief executive officer of the Atlanta Fed. Levy assumes responsibility for budgeting and forecasting, financial and cost accounting, financial reporting, corporate planning and strategy, procurement and purchasing services, business excellence, and supplier diversity.

Levy joined the Atlanta Fed in 1988 in the Statistical Reports Department. In 1998, he moved to the Check Relay Department as part of a team transitioning the System's check transportation network to Atlanta. He later joined the Retail Payments Office. In 2007, he was promoted to assistant vice president and served on several special assignments—including interim corporate secretary—before assuming his most recent position, where he has led corporate and strategic planning, budgeting, cost accounting, and business process improvement.

Levy earned a bachelor's degree in business administration and a master's degree in business administration, both from the University of Georgia.
