Monday, April 29th, 2019

Atlanta-based event planning firm WM Events announces the appointment of Aaron Barba, consultant with BarbaSCS, as its interim general manager.  As the firm’s first general manager, Barba will be responsible for developing the position and enhancing operations while expanding external relationships during a period of growth for the company.

"We're thrilled that Aaron has partnered with us and brought his firm’s expertise to ours,” said William Fogler, principal and founder of WM Events. “As we continue to expand, it is important we build a healthy infrastructure to support our trajectory.”

BarbaSCS brings WM Events more than a decade of experience in operations, logistics and event management. As owner of BarbaSCS, a business strategy consulting firm, Barba works with business owners and company stakeholders to lower operational costs, increase profitability and grow market presence. He previously worked with some of the most enduring companies in the Atlanta events industry, including Proof of the Pudding and Affairs to Remember Caterers.

“I have had the pleasure to work with WM Events as an industry partner over the years,” said Barba. “I was drawn to this opportunity by the firm’s commitment to excellence and its positive workplace culture. I am excited to be an integral part of the company’s evolution as it gears for further growth and development.”

As WM Events nears its 15th anniversary in June, the firm has achieved significant growth during the past two years. Staff has increased 30 percent, while an upsurge in clients has been seen among Atlanta-based clients, as well as with non-local corporations and individuals seeking to hold events in Atlanta and clients in smaller metropolitan areas hiring WM Events to bring innovative event solutions to them.
