Mark Spain Real Estate’s 2018 Sales Place Them No. 1 on America’s Best Agents List for Georgia

Mark Spain Real Estate, has been honored as the No. 1 real estate team in Georgia by REAL Trends. The America’s Best Agents list, an annual ranking report based on residential sales production, is compiled by REAL Trends and Tom Ferry International.

The ranking is based on 2018 gross real estate sales or total closed transactions and is divided first by state, then by teams or individual agents. Mark Spain Real Estate took top team honors for Georgia in both categories. Consistently outperforming each of its previous year’s sales totals, Mark Spain Real Estate achieved 2,748 transactions in 2018, with total gross sales of more than $702 million. They were the only team in Georgia to have closed transactions into the four-digit range.The team’s totals were a 129 percent growth rate over their 2017 numbers. On average, Mark Spain Real Estate sold more than 10.5 homes per business day in 2018.

REAL Trends is a leading source of information and analysis for the residential real estate brokerage industry. Tom Ferry International is a nationwide real estate business and life coaching/training company. The America’s Best Agents list is one of several national rankings annually compiled by REAL Trends. Others include The Thousand, a ranking of the top 1,000 agents and teams in the U.S. and the REAL Trends 500, a sales ranking of the top 500 residential real estate brokerages.

The Thousand list was announced in June and published in The Wall Street Journal. On it, Mark Spain Real Estate was named the No. 1 real estate team in the United States, making this the second straight year as No. 1.

“The best individual agents and teams’ award-winning efforts were phenomenal considering the competition in the real estate market,” said Steve Murray, president of Castle Rock, Colo. based consulting company REAL Trends, which compiled the list.

This year’s America’s Best Real Estate Agents list includes some 14,500 residential real estate agents who collectively accounted for over 22 percent of all closed sales volume in 2018. It is based solely on their excellence in real estate sales during the 2018 calendar year. All production numbers are independently verified by a third-party in order to ensure accuracy and report integrity. This group of highly successful real estate sales agents represents the top half of 1 percent of the nearly 1.4 million real estate practitioners in the United States. Spain explained the Guaranteed Offer has been ideal for some home sellers. If a home meets certain requirements, this program will extend an offer. If the sellers accept, they have just sold their home without ever having to formally list it on the market.
