Staff Report From Metro Atlanta CEO

Thursday, October 3rd, 2019

Art on the Atlanta BeltLine, in collaboration with Music in the Park, invites community members to a weekend of music and celebration with “BeltLine After Dark x Music in the Park” on Friday, October 18th and Saturday, October 19th, 2019 at several locations along the Atlanta BeltLine’s Westside Trail.

For this 2-day takeover of the Westside Trail, Music in the Park is joining forces with Art on the Atlanta BeltLine to bring you an immersive sensory experience. For 2 days, the Westside Trail will be transformed into an arts wonderland. Gordon White Park will play host to all things music and will act as home base for Music in the Park programming. Guests can follow the BeltLine’s Westside Trail north to encounter pop-up roaming performances, and also visit the historic Ashview Heights meadow as Art on the Atlanta BeltLine curates the Avant Garde Stage with dance, theater, and a little bit of magic. The Westview Drive Bridge will host additional presentations, and late night performances will be featured at Gallery 992.

Events are scheduled on Friday, October 18th and Saturday, October 19th from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.

PLEASE NOTE: From 5:00 – 11 p.m., White Street will be closed at Gordon White Park between Ralph David Abernathy Blvd. and Hopkins Street.
