Wednesday, February 12th, 2020

Artisan Built Communities is pleased to announce Stephen Haines as President. With more than 20 years in the home building industry, Haines has worked with the who’s who of home builders including Centex Homes, PulteGroup, Meritage Homes, John Wieland Homes & Neighborhoods, KB Home and Beazer Homes.

In this capacity, Haines will be initially focused on home building operations and streamlining processes and internal systems. With a refined list of strategic initiatives, he will also be responsible for expanding the company’s footprint.

Haines comments, “I’m thrilled to be part of the Artisan Built team. After consulting with them for several months, staying on and working with them full time just seems like a natural fit.” He continued, “My goal is to increase the building company’s production, while maintaining the quality product it is known for. Artisan Built currently has several communities in Paulding County, but we aspire to grow over the next several years.”

Mark Stevenson, CEO of Artisan Built Communities, comments, “Stephen’s extensive background speaks for itself. I am most excited about how well he meshes with our team and his vision for the future. We look forward to his strong leadership to take us to the next level.”

Haines most recently served as the founder and Principal of VPEA Consulting, a role that allowed him to assist the operational and financial focus of companies across multiple industries.

Haines holds an MBA in Leadership and Finance from the University of Houston’s C.T. Bauer College of Business.

A father of seven, Haines believes in giving back. He has served as the Chairman of the Board for Supporting Adoption & Foster Families Together (SAFFT). In 2014, he led the PulteGroup team to provide a home for wounded warrior U.S. Army Sgt. Perry Haley through PulteGroup’s Built to Honor program and Operation FINALLY HOME. He was also instrumental in the construction of Aimee’s Wing, a 1,956-square-foot addition to the home of Aimee Copeland and family. The new space included a new bedroom, sunroom, fitness room for rehabilitation, a Pulte Planning Center, and an elevator to allow her to easily access other parts of the home.
